About Kim Ogorek

I've been blessed to be able to integrate my degree in Education with my love for fitness as I seek to motivate and instruct others how to best improve their quality of life through exercise.

I'm certified with the NSPA; a recognized certification for the IDEA Personal Fitness Trainer (PFT) Recognition System, the new industry standard for personal trainers. The IDEA Program has been designed to establish the highest standard of excellence in the field of Personal Training and the National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA) is the only certification in the country that teaches the High Intensity Strength Training System (HIT).

The HIT System is used by people of all ages and fitness levels. Dr. Wayne Westcott, internationally recognized strength researcher and author, has stated that "the HIT System is the safest, most effective, and time efficient strengthening system available".

I've personally followed the HIT system of weight lifting in my own workouts for over 20 years. While I was a middle school teacher, I served as the assistant track coach helping them make it to the County Finals. In 1998, I began my career as a runner, competing in 5Ks and 10Ks, regularly placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in my age group. In 2004, I made the jump to 10 milers, half marathons, and full marathons. I've completed four marathons; consistently finishing in the top 15% of runners and qualifying for a preferred start at the New York Marathon.

I believe in crafting a highly individualized, easy to follow workout that will help you reach your goal. Workouts will incorporate strength, cardio, combination exercises, stability work and core work. You will never be bored! I love to feature lots of variety using different modalities; jump rope, step, Bosu ball, medicine ball, stability ball, free weights, running drills and plyometrics. You will be pushed farther than you thought you could go.
